15 Minute Cities – a concept you never voted for
This video explainer is an update to a previous presentation that Michelle Stirling gave on the Tish Conlin podcast. It incorporates the fact that now the Trump administration has pulled out of the Paris Agreement and related commitments, the US climate movement, under the umbrella organization of “America-is-all-in” will continue trying to meet their Paris targets by working at the state and city levels. What does that mean for you? Well, in short, 15 minute cities. The C-40 and C-100 city organizations are activist groups that believe they can ‘solve the [alleged] climate crisis’ by modifying your behaviour as a citizen in the urban/suburban context. Despite the fact that cities have no mandate to address climate change, these activist groups will impose their beliefs and plans upon unsuspecting citizens, trying to reduce your personal carbon footprint to 3 tCO2e (tons Carbon Dioxide equivalent) by 2030 and to ZERO by 2050. In Canada, most citizens have a 14-17 t/CO2e personal carbon footprint, so imagine how restricted your freedoms would be! Please like, share and subscribe!
