There’s Big News in the World of Climate Science: Science – In Short

As outlined in this article in the Epoch Times by Tim Gallaudet, an oceanographer and a former deputy administrator of NOAA (among other credentials), there is “Finally, an Unbiased and Objective Climate Science Report.”  The US Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a climate science report titled, “A Critical Review of Impacts of Greenhouse Gas Emissions on the U.S. Climate,” in his article of Aug. 26, 2025 in The Epoch Times. However, this new report is not getting much media attention at all! So Friends of Science Society has prepared this “Science – In Short” video which offers key points from the chapter summaries of the report, to help the public understand that climate change is not a ‘crisis’ or an ’emergency’ nor is it an impending ‘catastrophe.’ The science of climate change is much more nuanced than that.

The report was commissioned by US Secretary of Energy, Chris Wright, and his foreword to the report is inspiring for the manner in which he captures the issues around climate change (which have strayed from science and become biased, largely because of media hype). The report was co-authored by John Christy, Ph.D., Judith Curry, Ph.D., Steven Koonin, Ph.D., Roy Spencer, Ph.D. and Canadian economist Ross McKitrick, Ph.D. These chapter summary highlights are intended to offer the public a plain language look at the report, to encourage people to read the report itself, or to find out more about it from articles like that of Tim Gallaudet, noted above.

The co-authors are well-known in the world of climate science. They have published books, articles and papers, and are featured in many videos, including testimonies to various US Senate Committees. The report concludes that a more nuanced approach is required with regard to carbon dioxide (CO2) from human industrial emissions, “An approach that acknowledges both the potential risks and benefits of CO2, rather than relying on flawed models and extreme scenarios, is essential for informed and effective decision-making.” Read the full report, here.

Who’s listening? Certainly not those bent on scaring the population into 15 minute cities and digital currency. Thank you Friends of Science. Science needs more friends and honesty in re[porting on global climatic conditions.
