National Coalition of Chiefs “Working to defeat on-reserve poverty”
Chiefs, Metis Leaders and Associates,
Congrats to Chief Roy Fox on his compelling speeches in support of the oil and gas industry at the AFN Special Assembly in Ottawa. And, thanks goes out to NCC Director, Chief Dan George for his APTN interview opposing the tanker ban.

Special thanks to all the Chiefs representing the National Coalition of Chiefs, Eagle Spirit Energy and the Indian Resource Council on their meetings with Senators on Tuesday, December 11th in Ottawa to oppose bills C48 and C69. We look forward to further lobbying trips to Ottawa next year to continue to oppose bills C48 and C69.
Thanks to NCC Director Bruce Dumont who completed 14 radio interviews on Monday, December 10th opposing both bills and announcing the Aboriginal Equity Partners legal action. Excerpts from news articles and video tapings are outlined below.
