Year End Funding Appeal

Dear Friends,

Friends of Science recently had their AGM and I would like to introduce myself, Ron Davison, as your new President.

We had another great year under Andrew Bonvinci’s leadership. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his significant contributions to the success we have experienced over the last few years (despite the complications associated with COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns). We hope to continue to build on those successes and we hope that you, the membership will continue to participate in that success and encourage others to come onboard.

The Friends of Science Society has provided an avenue for reasoned debate and access to technical, economic and scientific data/analysis on the “Climate Change” subject (over and above the consensus propaganda) since its inception in 2002. That work is needed now more than ever. Lockdowns like those initiated under COVID-19 protocols are being considered to combat the so-called “Climate Change (i.e.: Global Warming) Emergency”. An “Emergency”, I might add, that has no empirical scientific backing. How do I know that? You just need to look at all the data (not just the simplistic, unscientific viewpoint that CO2 is essentially responsible for most of the recent global warming). I am not going to elaborate here, but I will point to a recent post that provides my view on the State of Climate Science (OPS-55). And for those that would like to know why I volunteer my time and effort to this cause, you can go to my personal website (https://climatechangeandmusic.com) and review “About Me” and “CLINTEL Interview” from the ABOUT Dropdown menu.

We (the collective we) are making progress, but we have a long way to go. Unfortunately, society has moved down a dangerous path toward totalitarianism. “Climate Change” alarmism has been (and will continue to be) one of the main drivers down that path. Even with the self admission that the climate models project warming that is “implausibly fast” and the so-called business-as-usual emission case (RCP8.5) is implausible, those and other important messages do not get to the general public without an ever-increasing number of people speaking up and speaking out. Any and all your support (whether it is financial, through sharing/liking our social media presence, volunteering, etc.) is greatly appreciated.

Our 18th Annual Climate Science Event was once again subject to COVID-19 restrictions and was conducted online. The event was aired in two parts. On October 2nd, 2021, Dr. Guus Berkhout (President, CLINTEL) presented “Climate Science: Let the Data Speak” and on October 6th, 2021, Mark Morano (Author) followed up with his presentation “Green New Deal: The Great Regret”. Those presentations are informative, well worth watching and are easily accessible on the Friends of Science Society website (https://friendsofscience.org) (along with a wide variety of relevant, timely reports, blogs, technical papers, etc.). With your support, we can continue to increase awareness and bring back common sense to the “Climate Change” discussion.

Donations and Memberships can be made online through our website (click on the orange DONATE button), e-transfer to [email protected] or call us to process over the phone Toll-Free at 1-888-789-9597 Ext 2 or if you have any questions.

We appreciate your continued support.

Have a safe and happy holiday season.

Sincerely,

Ron Davison, P.Eng.
President, Friends of Science Society
